First and foremost, I want to express my disappointment with the service at this location this year, and it is only the beginning of the holiday refund advance season. Let me get straight to the point.

I received a call on Friday to confirm my 9:00 a.m. appointment on Saturday, December 13th. I waited in front of the office for at least an hour. This location is at 4770 West Ann Road, Ste 2, North Las Vegas, Nevada 89031.

I called the number listed on the website and spoke to a lady named Charlie at the Rancho location. She said the tax preparers were running late but would be there soon.

There were four of us customers waiting outside. Eventually, I saw Tika arriveshe was not scheduled to work that day, but I want to mention that she was an excellent employee last year. She kindly opened the office and logged into her computer, but was unable to access her Jackson Hewitt account.

She called her manager, Pam, who asked to be put on speakerphone so everyone could hear. I expressed my frustration to Pam, the manager. Pam told Tika to send us to the Rancho location, which made no sense to me. If we had appointments, someone should have been there to assist us.

Pam apologized and said there was a family emergency with one of the tax preparers.

However, I found her to be very rude and unsympathetic, as if our concerns were not important. As a manager, she should have called us in advance and arranged to cover the appointments. Instead, she acted as though we were bothering her.

I have been a loyal customer for many years, but the service has gone downhill this year, especially under this manager, Pam.

It is disappointing to see such a decline at Jackson Hewitt. My family, friends, and Iabout ten of uswill no longer come here due to the poor service and unacceptable management.

The representative as not knowledgeable and had to call for assistance through my entire experience. In addition I was told I could not use the 1098-T tax form when I filed even though I was claiming my college student because I was filing separately/married.

I had to go back later to finish my return and the agent kept having me write my personal information down on scrap paper! Finally, the charges for the return being filed by JH were far more than I have ever paid elsewhere. Outrageous.

I feel I was over charged and that my taxes may not have been done properly not to mention securely with being asked to write information down in a kiosk location. I will never use JH again and tell anyone who asks not to use this provider.

The tax preparer told us the price of doing our federal senior short form taxes would cost $149 with an additional $70 to send out our state income tax forms. We had him send our forms out electronically to the appropriate government agencies.

A week later we get a deposit in our bank account ( not from the government but an institution called Republic bank) over $400 LESS than we were expected. We could not contact to talk to anybody about this discrepancy, the false advertising plus the transparency of fees. We were given a phone number that was never picked up but rather put in a maze of phone prompts and then back to the main menu. We are still looking for help with no results.

Facebook had similar complaints about Jackson Hewitt tax services but noticed many were deleted as well as mine.

Im not sure how this company has received five stars to me. It should be criminal how they run the business.
